Migrate Stringer Points
Icon:Ribbon: Survey Tab > Settings Panel > Migrate Stringer Points
Introduction
This command lets the user pick a legacy Stringer Topo Settings file (extension .sdb) and create the following to be used in the software:
Point Code Set
Survey String Set
Point Styles (same block and text attributes as found in the legacy Topo)
Point Code Sets and Survey String Sets are created and saved locally for each drawing.
Note: If the migrated settings are to become the 'default' settings for future projects, then users need to open the Point Code Set and the Survey String Set forms and click the respective buttons to copy the settings into the resource settings folder so they become the defaults on new projects.
When the migration process is completed, the following message will display to remind users of the need to save the changes to the Stringer Settings Folder.
Users are encouraged to review the settings to ensure they match the requirements, especially in relation to the Survey String output (2D polyline, 3D polyline and breakline).
