Introduction

When a Civil 3D pipe network is created using the Create Network or Multi Create commands, Civil Site Design stores a record of the Civil 3D pipe network name and settings applied to create the pipe network. Manage Networks provides the ability to edit the exchange settings and enable/disable the synchronisation and dynamic update of the pipe networks.

Process for Deleting a Pipe Network

The process to remove the link between a Civil Site Design and Civil 3D pipe network and delete all Civil 3D objects is:

From this form, use the Remove Selected command (detailed below) to remove the link between the Civil Site Design network and the Civil 3D Network

Delete the pipe network from the drawing via the Civil 3D Toolspace > Prospector tab

Delete the created alignments, profiles and profile views from the drawing

Upon selecting the command, the following form is displayed:

Networks

Lists the Civil 3D pipe networks that Civil Site Design has created and the settings used.

   Exported Pipe Network Table

Sync

Tick on to synchronised the pipe network (see Sync Networks command).

    Dynamic

Tick on to dynamically update the pipe network when the source Civil Site Design pipe network is modified.

    Network Name

Lists the Civil Site Design pipe network name.

    Conversion File

Lists the conversion file used to create the pipe network.

Update All

Click to update/synchronise all listed pipe networks.

Update Selected

Click to Update the selected pipe network. The selected pipe network will open in the Create Network form allowing the settings to be edited. Click on the Create Pipe Network button to update the pipe network in the drawing and return to this form.

Remove Selected

Click to remove the link between the Civil Site Design and Civil 3D pipe networks for the selected pipe network. All Civil 3D objects created will remain in the drawing.

Apply and Close

Apply and exit the form.
